Windows to the World
In Windows to the World, Rozana Lee expands her research into the global histories of interactions and trade by establishing connections between her Indonesian cultural heritage, Pasifika culture, and extending to Central Asia and Central America.
This exhibition spotlights the migration of cultural motifs, particularly the Kawung Batik, often resembling a lotus flower. It underscores how culture often stems not just from one community’s traditions but also from interactions with other cultures.
