Q’s studio space, Loft, houses more intimate and experimental shows. It features character timber beams and art deco floor-to-ceiling windows that look out over Queen Street.

Venue accessibility
The venues within Q Theatre are across four levels, with the main bathrooms being on a fifth. All levels in the building are accessible via a central lift.
Wheelchair accessible toilets are located in the main toilet blocks on Lower Ground Level.
Rangatira and Loft are both fitted with an audio loop, which amplifies the sound of the performance for hearing aids. The sound quality can vary through Rangatira however, so we advise those who require this loop to ring our Box Office on (09) 309 9771 for advice on the best seats for any particular show.
Assistance dogs. Please advise at the time of booking to ensure they can be accommodated appropriately. Water can be provided on request.
The box office has a relatively low counter, although a manual wheelchair may struggle to see over it.
